Empower your team

Fire Safety Training

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires owners of non-domestic premises in England and Wales to take reasonable and practicable steps to prevent fires, and to protect visitors and employees against death and injury in the event of a fire.

In order to comply with the Order, employers must ensure all employees receive at very least basic fire awareness training backed up by regular refresher training. At least one fire warden should also be appointed, although this will vary according to the risk level of your premises.

Your Team

The role of fire wardens

Fire wardens are your fire safety eyes and ears on the ground — appointed alongside the employer to help make sure everyone goes home safe.

  1. 01

    Identify your needs

Your fire risk assessment identifies your individual training needs and how many fire wardens your premises requires.

  2. 02

    Support the employer

Fire wardens work alongside their employers to ensure all fire safety measures and evacuation procedures are clearly set out and working effectively.

  3. 03

    Deepen their training

Once appointed, your fire warden undergoes more in-depth training so they have the knowledge to take responsibility for fire safety in the workplace.
